Star Trek: Tentacles and Expendables

  Ahh, Red Shirts... Do you think they knew going down to the planet's surface with Kirk, Spock, and Bones that they were pretty much doomed from the get go?

  Of course, this would be a Red Dress, not a shirt (I almost called it 'Red Dress Distress', but that's not a term anyone would recognize)  I based the girl on Yeoman Rand from the Original Series, and yes, she wore a red dress.  She would have made lovely creature bait if they had included her in the landing crew more often.

  I could see Captain Kirk getting briefed before the mission--

Scotty: "Captain, Ryza Seven is known to be inhabited by mysterious tentacled creatures ... are you sure it's safe to go down there?"

  Kirk: "We'll be fine, Scotty!  Have Mr. Spock, Bones, and Ensign Henderson meet me in the Transporter Room."

  Scotty: "But those creatures, Cap'n!  They've been known to do unspeakable things to whoever is caught in their grasp!"

   Kirk:  *Raises one eyebrow* "I ...see .... on second thought, scratch Ensign Henderson... Perhaps... Yeoman Rand should accompany us on this one."
